Swapping stock pump in the 12g NC Dx

it was suggested that I swap the stock pump with a Minijet 606 or a Rio 600.
Any other suggestions?
Would it be too much to leave the stock pump in AND add a PH
also, which PH is better?
And finally,
exactly how do you switch the stock pump out? :notsure:

If the stock pump is giving you good surface movement I'd place the mini-jet on one of the sides half way down, blowing across the length of the tank. If the stock pump isn't giving good surface movement I'd consider 2 mini-jets.... 1 for the surface and the other as stated above. :D
