So I came today and saw that Peppy (my peppermint shrimp) was dead. At first I thought he was molting, something he does often. But i thought it was weird b/c he usually does it at night, and in an area that you can't see. Well come to find out he was dead. Took a close look at him and everything inside turned white and he was falling apart from my other cleanup crew munching on him.
So i thought since he was already dead, there was no real sense in throwing him away. SO why not feed him to my anemone that he's been picking at for the past few months. THe anemone finally got this golden opportunity this evening after i confirmed that Peppy was dead.
I believe the anemone might have killed it because his body was right below the anemone - perhaps got stung really good.
So i placed his dead carcas into the middle of the anemone. The anemone closed up EXTREMELY fast. I realize the anemone doesn't know the difference, but it is nice to think what goes around comes around.
