Well shucks....you make me blush...
Thank you kindly for your nice words re: our tank. I have so much to learn - and I read as much as I can. The tank has been up for about two years. I have a horrible time keeping corals & inverts alive - but the LR, polyps, mushrooms, anenomes and fish I really don't think I could kill even if I took a hammer to them out on the porch.
Yes, the four power heads are all pointed outwards towards the glass. They are varied slightly directionally....one pointed down and to the left a bit.....or up and to the right a bit. I read somewhere (and heavens knows everyone has their own opinions) that mixing up the flow is a really good thing. That is where that monster Rio power head on the left of the tank comes in. I manually plug that "guy" in from time to time to mix things up a bit. It blows lengthwise in the tank.
Again, thank you for the welcome to the board - it is great to be here. My wife thought I was nuts for spending a couple hours in Photoshop on "spec'ing" the tanks - but I knew when I started asking dumb questions it will prove an asset. Should you or any other folks on this board have a moment - as my sig humbly requests - parouse the schematic and see if there are any glaring problems.
The only problem I have right now is that my brownbird wrasse is not playing nicely during feeding time. This has just recently started occuring.
Off to work to pay for the next toy or fish....
