I got a seahorse today. He is black right now but the lfs said he would get more yellow. He was tank bred. eats frozen mysis. I already fed him today and he sucked them up. i took him out of my reef tank put him in a small container dropped in the food and he was good to go,

Yes yes pics please pics :jumping:
I know about jack nada about seahorses right now. I didn't know you could keep them in a reef tank? I thought the water movement most reef tanks need is too hard on the horses? And that they need a pretty small tank so that they can get enough to eat since they're slow movers? And won't taking him out to feed him every time stress him out to the max? Anyone help please, wanna learn :joy:

only the dwarves need that small tank for enough food, or any wc horses. I would agree that a reef isn't the place for a horse, unless you are positive everything is compatible.
Do you know what species?

I had pony's for about six months (mine were wild though). They are very though to care for to say the least. They take alot of care love and time. I fed mine live food twice a day and watch them both to make sure they ate enough. I had very little current because a reef had to much current. I had little current like i said and i still had to turn everything off when i fed them becuase they either couldnt chase it or didnt feel like it. But every time i came up to the take they ran to the front to greet me. They are wonderful fish but take alot of care. Good luck.
