SwimShagy89's 14G Bio-Cube Diary

Hey guys, My names Jed and I'm new to the forums. I've had a 10G nano tank for about 3 1/2 years and I decided its time to get something much nicer. Right now all I have is a Niger Trigger and a Percula Clown. (both about 2 years old) Yeah I know, People say don't put a trigger in such a small tank but I didn't know much at the time. Surprisingly he is extremely healthy and active for the whole time I've owned him.
Anyways, I just got the 14G bio-cube about 2 days ago. So far I've filled it, gotten the salt levels near perfect, and added live sand. Live Rock is on the way. I plan on moving my 2 fish to the new nano as soon as its done cycling. Does anyone have any suggestions for other tank mates? I know the trigger does horrible with inverts, but does anyone know if there is any kind of coral or any other inverts he would be okay with? I'm open to suggestions! Thanks!
I plan on updating my thread quite often as soon as new things happen and I can't wait to share the pics with you as I sail along.
Old Tank: (I know, discusting.)

Trigger: (camera shy)

well congrats on the new tank!!!!!!!!!!!!!! wait were are my manners????????????
wellcome to the nano section. best of the best. we are all here to help and enjoy pics of our fellow nano reefers. i know its to early but i have a small crew on here called the "29 24 14 reefers" you can join as well. and yea people do say dont put your trigger in a small tank. i have my trigger in a 30 with a yellow tang. lol but shhh no one knows lol. well if i were you i would leave the trigger were it is and just transfer the clown IMO (in my opinion) and get myself a bicolor blenny. and for corals you can do a variety. not lps or sps but you can do softies and leathers. lol. sorry for so much reading to do but love to say hi to all new comers. you might also talk to rebelpretty boy. that guy is really cool. he can also help you. and you can do inverts if you want but with no trigger inside. well love both tanks except the top one its a little dirty but that can be clean. wellcome to the nano section and dont leave us lol

thanks for all the welcomes guys! yeah, i know the trigger really should be in a bigger tank, but he's been doing just fine for the past 2 years. he's about 2-2.5 inches my guess. I really wanna get some corals though to make my tank colorful, any suggestions for those even though i have a trigger? maybe some hard corals?

you would be able to get lps but you need mhs. if you wanna spend the money on the lights then go ahead. But IMO get softies

Actually you can keep just about any lps with pc lighting. Look around on this forum and just about everyone I can think of has some, and almost all of us are using stock lighting
