I have had my current Biocube 14g running for about 8 months now (Since December, 2010). Everything is fine in the tank, I have 1 clownfish, 1 striped dottyback, a BTA, royal urchin, sea serpent star, and several smaller corrals. I am interested in upgrading to a larger tank, preferably a Biocube, as I am familiar with the system and how it works. My main reason for switching is that I would like to be able to possibly add one or two more fish and a couple more corrals. I have also heard that larger tanks are easier to maintain, because small changes in the water quality and overfeeding problems don't throw the entire aquarium off balance. My question is, should I go ahead with my plan of purchasing a new 29g Biocube, selling the old one, and setting the new one up exactly like I had with my current tank? Or would it be more worthwhile and better to create a tank from scratch with custom parts (by custom, I mean not pre-built inside the aquarium like the Biocube). I already have a 29G Biocube stand that the 14g is currently on, but I AM willing to sell the stand as well if it would really be much better to build a tank from scratch. Please let me know if there is any additional information I can give you.
Thanks,
Chris
