Switching to Live Sand

I getting ready to switch from CC to LS today. I was planning(based on advice from others on the boards)to take everything out of my tank(all I have are 4 snails and a anenome, as well as 5lbs of LR) and putting them in a large container. Draining most of my water in the container and then making the switch. My question is, if I do this. How long should I wait until putting the snails, LR and anenome back in? I've been told if I do it this way my tank shouldn't re-cycle. Is this true?

if you take out the inhabitants and place them in an exterior container... just try to make the change quick so you don't lose heat in their container. that is... unless the container you move them to is heated.
anyways... take out the crushed coral (or leave a little in for depth if ya like) and add the live sand.
wait till the water is pretty much clear and dump your inhabitants back in the main tank.
when i did that change from cc to ls i opted to leave all my fish, inverts, rock... everything, in the tank the entire time.
nothing was affected by the switch and the water was pretty cloudy. beware that this may not always be the case as removing the cc could release bacteria. if it makes ya feel better put your inhabs in a bucket while making the change.
shouldn't be much of a cycle - if any.
