do t-5s lose there ablility to put the right spectrum of light into the water over time.
should they be replaced after a certain anout of time??
just wanting to get a little info on them. i have had t-5s for about 2years and only have replaced 1 blue blue for a dark purple that puts a higher spectrum into the tank for coral growth.

T5s do have a color shift. How quickly they shift will depend on the type of bulb (manufacturer and spectrum), the ballast that's being used and, finally, the temperture of the bulbs are exposed to.
