t5 lighting question

i have a 6 bulb t5 light fixture. right now it has 3 10000k bulbs and 3 460 actinic bulbs. i am getting ready to order new bulbs. i was looking at the different spectrums of bulbs and wondering what i should order. should i stick with the 3 10000k and 3 460nms? are 420nms better? also....do you run the actinics all day along with the 10000k lights or just before and after?

I like using both 460nms and 420nms together. Doing it makes both the red and green fluorescing colors pop...

3 10k and 3 actinics r very basic setup. why dont u try to mix it up a little with bulbs such a procolor. make sure to get decent t5 bulbs such as giesemann and ati.

nycbob.....i have slimpaq bulbs right now. do you know if the giesemann and ati bulbs are the same size?

slimpad bulbs r from current. very very weak bulbs imo. what wattage r ur t5? giesemann and ati do make t5 bulbs for all sizes.

There are a ton of really interesting T5 choices. I have been running the following set of bulbs for the past year.
ATI Blue Plus
UVL 75/25
UVL Aqua Sun
ATI Blue Plus

I am about to start shopping for this years lights, ande I definately plan on experimenting with a new combo. My bulbs have worked great, but half the fun of having t-5s is creating custom bulb combos.

I like that combo. Throw on a pure actinic and an ATI Aquablue Special and I think this would be a good combo for the OP.
