depends on how many bulbs and what size tank you have.
Go with a fixture with individual reflectors for each bulb to maximize your lights. You may not be able to have ANY coral out there. but your selection will be very very good as long as you get the right fixture

as jst mentioned, you need to have the right lighting fixture and bulbs. I myself use T5's on my tank, and I keep all types of corals. A good lighting fixture is the nova extreme pro. It is a six bulb fixture with individual reflectors. Some of the best bulbs out there are ATI's.

im running the extreme pro myself 
hate the bulbs, so when its time to change them im going ATI bulbs
