i finally got my lights for my tank and they dont seem to work i been waiting 3 weeks on these,
i checked everything i could i thought my previous bulbs blew out on me.
it's pluged in light switch turns on when its on but there seems to be no power to the bulbs.
on top of that i had a very stressfull time spilling coke a lot of fairy up liquid falling over sons toys slipping on wet floor so as of now im very very stressed as i was soooo excited about getting my lights so i can have a nice looking tank.
these bulbs cost me £16.99 each so they not cheap i made sure they are the correct bulbs for it too.
they are day light blue 60w.
can anyone help?
thanks
dean & family

I had the same issue with my T5 HO- Make sure they are rotated properly if they are 2 prong- turn them each a bit futher than you think necessary- I actually returned my light because I thought it was defective. Turns out I just didn't turn the bulbs enough.

hmm- The only thing I can think of is the plug you are plugging into is bad? Is it on a power strip? Try pluggin directly into the wall... I'm sorry! I don't have anything else!
Anyone Else?!!

First we have to prove your outlet is good. Unplug your lights and plug something else in there to make sure it works.
Second, what fixture do you have? It would help to diagnose it if we know exactly what we are dealing with.

You know fixture. What brand of lights are on top of your tank?
It sounds like the outlet is bad. All the LFS will tell you is to contact an electrician. So I'm assuming you took a lamp or something and plugged it into the same outlet that the fish lights use? After testing the wall outlet with another device nothing happened?
Plug your lights into another outlet then. Also go look at the circuit breaker and see if any of the breakers have reset.

they asked me to find the recipt or the bank papers to prove i baught it from that shop less then a year ago.
both are hard to find as it was baught in october........
am i able to send it off to the company that made it i would name the company but havebeen told off before abut nameing stuff..
any suggestions appreciated.
i posted that on the forum for lighting...
can an electrician fix this?
the only thing pluged in with it is heater and filter.
on the other half of what you said i have no idea what a circuit breaker is..
im a compleate rookie to electics (wish i studyed hard now
)
as for the company ill give that later but its in car at min but i think it was inter**** as i dont want to get into trouble i wont fully name it but you get the idea lol.

u can bring it to local shop that sells lights. they will be able to fix it for u. how much did u pay for the light fixture? if its not that much, maybe its more beneficial to buy a new one.
