Taking Care of Scratches on an Acrylic Tank

Has anyone out there have any experience with taking care of scratches in an acrylic tank?
I have a 55gal fowlr tank I just started, and noticed a few scratches on the inside wall after adding the lr. I ordered a repair kit, but not too sure how easy or hard it is.

Being that you just started the tank maybe consider going glass. You may wish you had a year from now.

I built a 230 acrylic which had some fine scratches on it a found that a very, very, rubbing/buffing compound seemed to take out some of the scratches on the outside of the aquarium. Be careful using this on the inside scratches, it will need to be cleaned very well before adding water back into the aquarium.

Thanks for the advise. This is the first acrylic tank I have owned, and love it. Even though it scratches easily, the clearity is unbelievable...
