Taking the RO plunge!

Now that I have a seahorse.....(I can't believe I am doing this.....
) the only stubbron, hard nose tap water user on the board...is switching to RO

There! I admitted it
.....
My main concern is how will the water type change effect my clowns and sea horse....Tap water is full of all sorts of nasty things....which the occupants have become accustom to......
My main plan is to do 10% water changes, maybe 2-3 a week....and just stop using tap water period. Does this sound like a good plan? Or would you suggest an even slower aclimation do to the horse?

Don't feel bad... most hobbyists come around.
I would just stop using the tap water and keep your normal water change schedule.

Wow Rykna, I guess I didn't realize you were hard core tap water, LOL!!!
I agree with Reefnut, when I made the switch, I just started using RO in my weekly water changes...worked great.

Thanks
The main thing that made me change over is the health isues of seahorse and the unwanted algae growth due to the slow water flow.
