im going to be moving to tampa (USF area) next month and i was wondering where the good lfs are located in the general tampa bay area? any help is apreciated.
i have checked them out. they have great live rock/sand, but not much in the way of livestock though. btw i really like vero beach, used to go surfing all the time by the pier. its one of my favorite beach towns.
I live in the Tampa Bay area. If you are looking for a good selection of livestock the place to go is Marine Depot which is a little west of Tampa Bay Saltwater on Hilsborough. Also, in Duneiden the place I frequent often is Exotic Aquatics which is on 580. IM or E-mail me at Stizang218@aol.com if you want direction or any more info.

Howdy neighbor!
I agree the Marine Depot (Warehouse) has several knowledgeable staff, and the selection is great. The other LFS that I go to is Exotic Aquatics, but it is in Clwtr (also the guy who runs it is a real ass)

I found a nice lfs in naples. Last exit on 75. 2 in FT Myers around college parkway. 1 in Port Charlotte on 41.
Welcome to the other west coast.
The aquarium in Tampa is worth the visit!!!

I am from Tampa and was wondering, is Marine Depot and Marine Warehouse one in the same? Based on the location given I am assuming it is. Not too sure where in Tampa you are going to live in but a very inexpensive store in South Tampa is Westside Pets. It is on Manhattan just north of Gandy. Not your typical lfs but you can't beat the prices.
Hey Blondenaso1 how well is your pulsing xenia doing under your lighting? Am I reading your list right (140 total watts)? I was told pulsing xenias require a lot of light. Thanks.
There is a good place by Busch Gardens on Busch just west of 50th street, good coral selection and pretty good live stock. It's Discount Pet Mart not to be confused with Pet's Mart
