Tang advice

Hey guys
I have had a 100 gallon saltwater aquarium running for a couple of months. I've put in 2 puffers and a humu humu trigger. I recently added a blue tang and yellow tang. Is there a specific diet? My LFS sold me frozen mysis and seaweed, but they don't eat cube so I've fed them with a turkey baster. I've started using a veggie clip and they love it. Should I use lettuce? My LFS does and I've seen the fish eat it and they love it. So should I use that? Here's a pic of my fish. Thanks

I'm not a fan of lettuce, although some use it. I feed different colored macro algaes (seaweed). They also like Emerald Entree, which I think does have lettuce and spinach in it

Yes, emerald entree sold at most LFS. You can feed lettuce, but I too prefer feed seaweed. They also like Emerald Entree, and yes they do have lettuce and spinach in it.

I feed my Tangs romaine lettuce almost everyday. They love it and so do my triggers. I see them feeding whole heads of it at the Long Beach Aquarium so I assume it's okay.

As long as nothing is left to rot in the tank, make sure it's all eaten.

Maybe it's just me...but I kind of figure that if it isn't natural in the sea, our sea critters shouldn't have it. This is why I think feeding goldfish are not good as SW fish feeders, it turns out to be correct, it's not good for them. Lettuce is the same thing...it isn't from the ocean, and may not be as nutritious as seaweed would be. If you have a refugium, or even a place within the tank where you can allow some macroalgae growth, that would be much better for your fish, and it grows and grows, so you could keep a steady supply without constantly purchasing it.
