Greetings all,
Has anyone had success keeping the Yellow and Blue Tangs in the same tank with the Niger Trigger or the Blue Throat Trigger. I looked those specific Triggers up and they are recommended as reef safe, but the LFS said that they werent?
Does anyone have this combination of species?
Thanks

Tangs are safe with those triggers . now with a clown trigger or an undulated trigger not ok . Just make sure you have a big enough tank and they will be fine .

I don't have a reef but have a crosshatch with a black tang with no problem. Both reef safe. Like the previous person posted make sure you have a big enough tank. Here is a few pics of my trigger and tang. Be aware that reef safe has different definitions. Most "reef safe" triggers will eat small shrimp, crabs and may nibble on some clams. Hope this helps. Regards, Tim

Do you have any shrimps and crabs....because thus far it looks like the Tangs and those two triggers that I mentioned earlier in the thread will be okay together but I just don't want them to eat my shrimp and crabs or any other inverts that I may have in the future.
