Tang biting featherduster :(

My tang wont stop biting my featherduster. I have him buried in the sandbed but no matter how deep i bury him and try to conceal the 'tube' he always pokes it out. Im worried because the tang has been nippinng at the tube for quite some time and i dont want it to rip

I've found that problem tangs can stop nipping on things they arent supposed to, if you are dilligent with putting sea weed sheets etc etc in the tank that he is supposed to munch on.
