I have asked before for info on my Eibli mimic tang (much thanks for the responses).I know that in general tangs dont get along with each other. But my qusetion is with a Eibli mimic can I add,say a powder blue with him in a 55? or any other tang for that matter? Or is that a death match behind glass for sure!

I really don't think it would be a "death match". You may have problems at first, but if the tank isnt allready overstocked, you should be ok. It really depends on how much room there is in there.and how many hiding spots you have. STEVE

A powder blue in a 55? No way! They are a large, very active fish. I've got one in a 180, and I would not put him in anything smaller! An 8' would be even better. In a small tank they are very prone to ich and will probably have a significantly reduced lifespan. A 55 is too small for almost every tang, except for possibly a yellow or another Zebrasoma. Powder blues are also a fairly aggressive tang. A yellow is probably your best bet.

I have several Tangs and angle fish in the same tank. Why don't you try an angel there are so many beautiful ones to pick from and they seem to get along with tangs.
