tang problem?

two weeks ago I picked up a yellow tang from a local reefer who was tearing his tank down. He had a huge problem with hair and bubblle algae. I took the tang home and about a week ago I started to notice that in the middle of her tail fin, it was thinning. I noticed today that it seems a tiny piece is missing from the middle outside edge of the tail. It looks sort of like the flesh is eating away or something. The color is fine, she eats fine. The water parameters are perfect. Anybody have any ideas?

It may be the start of head and lateral line erosion . Make sure the fish is eating plenty of greens, dried seaweed and formula 2 every day and after that supplement with mysis shrimp and formula 1.
