I just got a Blue Hippo about a week ago. The last few days he's been rubbing on the rocks and now he's starting to get scratches on his body. I hear it's prolly ick. I haven't seen the white spots yet. Do I reallly need to take all my fish out and put them in a hospital? I have spotted hawk, purple pseu., oc. clownfish, and a lawnmower blenny. I have a 20 gallon hospital. What should I do? thanks!

Is it a fish only tank with no inverts or coral?
If that's the case and you'll never house inverts/coral you can dose copper to your main tank but I'd rather dose a hosipital tank. If ich is in your main tank... it'll survive a life cycle up to 6-10 weeks.

i wouldnt dose copper. you could put the fish in hyposalinity for a period (i think it's a month) once you put copper in any tank, you cant ever put corals, inverts, shark pups, etc. in the tank

Do not add copper into your display. Is the 20 QT well cycled? It would be large enough for them all if the hippo is small. If not then remove your rocks and any inverts into a tub. You can perform hyposalinity in the display.
Out of curiosity, if you have a quarantine tank then why didn't you use if for the hippo before he went into the display?
