Tank and stand dimensions

I just bought a used 150 gal tank and need to get a stand and canopy. The tank measures 72x18x28 but the outside measurements are 72.5 x 18.5. Stand dimensions are all listed as 72x18.
Does this mean that I have a nonstandard 150 because of the extra half inch? or is this common and my tank will fit on a standard 72x18 stand? Help, I'm so confused????

I would think it should fit, that could be the inside measurements, remember there is a small "lip" around the top of the stand. If you would of asked a few days sooner I would of went and measured mine, I just sold it Friday. Wait for another response, but it should work out. HTH
