Tank cleanup

I just got a used tank and I have a suspicion that it was cleaned out with a soap cleaner/substance. To be on the safe side, what can I use or do to clean out this tank and remove any contaminants??
Thanks,
Rob

I've always used soap and water to cut the oil off of new razor blades and then washed with satlwater to get the soap off. I imagine you can use a salt solution to get rid of the soap, etc. On thought about vinegar is that it has a low PH. Be sure to rinse it out good...

Ok, lemme throw another question into this tank cleanup-- how about a "painted on 3 sides" tank? Is this a difficult thing to remove?
