tank crashed now what?

So I went away for the weekend and my tank crashed. Everything died. Sailfin, firefish, algae blenny, urchin, crabs, hermits, shrimp.
My question now is about my live rock and sand. Since the crash killed everything else, is that still considered *live*? We are moving in about 3-6 months (depending on my husbands job transfer) and I was wondering what I should do with the rock. Will it survive if I store it in water in a rubbermaid container with a lid for that long. Or should I look into selling it?

I am really sorry to hear that you lost everything.
If you are not going to keep the tank up and running, I would just sell the rock and sand. It will not stay live in a rubbermaid without water circulation.
Though everything may have died, the rock and sand may still be very alive, depending on how bad the ammonia spiked in your tank over the weekend.

Wat caused the crash?
U could put it in a rubber maid with a powerhead and heater and keep it, but if waiting that long to re set up, id just try and sell..

I wish I knew what caused it. There is no real way to tell at this point though. The ammonia is obviously high now because everything is dead. But I have also heard that if my urchin were to die it could cause a crash. Everything was healthy when we left and we have done the same thing dozens of times before with no problem. So ??????????
I just hate to sell it for half of what I bought it for and then go rebuy in a few months ya know..... I spent 400 on 80lbs. How much do you think I could get for it? I would include any thing living in the tank. The zoo colony, mushrooms, sun coral, etc...assuming they have survived...
