Okay, i am going to get my tank drilled with one 1" overflow line and one 3/4" return line. Using a Mag 950 with ball valve for the return
Do i drill a hole for the return or do i just let it go over the top????
At what point on the tank should i get it drilled, i understand that ill need to build a box inside my tank to set the level for the water to overflow into and then flow down into the overflow pipe that is at a lower lever. Is this the correct way to do it????

I would keep it as simple as possible. Don't drill a return hole, just pipe the return back to the tank. You can build a bulkhead for a multi port return if you want.
The hole for the drain should be drilled in the bottom corner. Your overflow box must be water tight or your sump will overflow in a power outage.
Good luck.
