tank finally recovering from disease diaster

I want to thank those of you who helped me over a month ago with my "unk cause of death to clown goby" problem. after I treated the tank for ich, the fish died of bacterial infections and my ammonia/nitrite levels were horribly high for about 3 weeks. I had my emerald, anemone, and hermit crabs in a bowl (poor guys!) I tried live bacteria and a poly filter-nothing seemed to work. Luckily, all my live rock seemed to make it-all the anemones and feather dusters are in tact. I finally tried a new product suggested by a fish store owner who has also really helped me. It's called Amquel plus. After one day, my levels dropped to zero. Now, I have a little 3 stripe damsel testing the water for me and seems to be doing well. In a couple of days, she goes back to the store and I am going to get a very naughty little percula thats being held for me. He was a trade in that would drag his tank mate around by her tail! He will obviously be the lone fish in the tank. Thank you again and hopefully, after some more experience, I will be helping fishowners who are frantically trying to treat their fish. :D

You are brinnging back the striped damsel? but they are so cute... anyway i hope your crazy clown works out well for you. I had a yellow tail blue damsel who was dragging others by the tail but only when they were towards the end of their lives anyway i think he has calmed down a bit because he isnt picking on the other fish too much anymore...so he gets to stay...plus he is one of the few fish who have lived lol. Anyway good luck with your new fishies

How long has your tank been fishless? If it less than 3 wks, then you could still have ich in the tank.
Doesn't sound like we help too much with all those disasters.
