I want to thank those of you who helped me over a month ago with my "unk cause of death to clown goby" problem. after I treated the tank for ich, the fish died of bacterial infections and my ammonia/nitrite levels were horribly high for about 3 weeks. I had my emerald, anemone, and hermit crabs in a bowl (poor guys!) I tried live bacteria and a poly filter-nothing seemed to work. Luckily, all my live rock seemed to make it-all the anemones and feather dusters are in tact. I finally tried a new product suggested by a fish store owner who has also really helped me. It's called Amquel plus. After one day, my levels dropped to zero. Now, I have a little 3 stripe damsel testing the water for me and seems to be doing well. In a couple of days, she goes back to the store and I am going to get a very naughty little percula thats being held for me. He was a trade in that would drag his tank mate around by her tail! He will obviously be the lone fish in the tank. Thank you again and hopefully, after some more experience, I will be helping fishowners who are frantically trying to treat their fish.
