pre drilled is the way to go if you can afford it, i went with out and spent a hundred and fifty on overflows. Look for bigger fish stores or use ----. some times u can find deals on ---- if you are able to pick it up

Some fish stores will drill tanks as well as glass stores too. Any handyman can drill an acrylic tank for you too.
