Tank help

hey ya'll
recently i did a rather large change in my aquascape to try and gather some of the MANY corals that had fallen behind my rock work over time. i found tons of shrooms and three toadstools. even a nice ricordia yuma. anyhow
begining monday i started to get red algea /hair algea/ and diatoms.
during the tear down i did a larger then normal water change.
my test are as follows.
PO - .25
Ca- 500
No3- .05
No2- 0
Nh- 0
Kh- 110
PH 8.1/8.2
FE 0
any helo as to why the sudden algea would be great. i was thinking i just kicked up alot of old food and stuff but i'm not sure.

It's likely that detritus got kicked up when you were moving rocks around and started to break down when out in the open, causing the algae blooms.

hoq about tank temp ??? we got new lights and now notice the temp has gone up to almost 90.!!!! eek: :help:

are the lights too close to the salt water do you have a canopy ........how does the heat escape you need a canopy to get the lights away from the water. "do you have a glass top" that only holds the heat in like a green house...........for your new lights you need to get feet for them that should lift the lights up far enough away from the salt water...also fans whould help cool it down, to remove the heat...........need more info on your set up.

no glass top, lights about 8 inches off surface. i think its just about needing fans. the few extra hundred watts i guess just pushed me over the top. Time for a system change i guess.
we now have 500+ watts on our 65 so i guess i should have expected to need some kinda cooling system. I Just did not expect it to go up that high.
