Hi,
I needed to move my 46BF,FOLR, in order to make room for the 90 gal. I got for my birthday!.
The tank had been up 6mths with a HUMA Trigger and yellow Tang with crushed coral bottom.
I syphoned about 1/2 the tank into a Rubber maid trash can and moved the LR and fish into this.
I then procedded to to strip and clean the the tank.
I set the tank up in the new location and put 50# of Southdown sand in the bottom and 20# of live sand on top.
Then put a plastic garbarge bag on top of the sand< as suggested by someone on the board her to keep the tank from clouding, this worked great.
I then proceeded to fill the tank using water from the old and mixing new. I also added LR back and started everything running again.
I added my 2 fish back latter in the day and it was like the never left.
This morning the tank is clear, nitrates and trites are very low.
I'm glad its over though, now on to setting up my new 90g!
