Just got my new Salifert testing kits delivered, and here are the results from my tank:
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 45
PH: 8.2
kH in dKH: 6.7
Alk in meq/L: 2.40
Phosphate: 0.03
Whats the best way to tackle this? The tank is a 55g FOWLR, DSB, 80lbs LR, 10 gal sump, Euro-Reef skimmer, 1 Maxi-Jet 1200 PH, 1 SEIO 800gph PH.
I only use RO/DI water from a very trusted LFS. I am about to start doing 25% water changes weekly to lower the Nitrate but I've done this in the past and never got it down very much. Dropped it in half fairly quickly, but never made much progress after that.
Basically what I need to know is the best way to get my tank parameters in order. I am interested in solving the problem, and not treating w/ chemicals as I do not want this to re-occur in the future. I've been battling this for over a year now.
Thanks!
