Last weekend, I tore it down to get it drilled to add a sump and refugium to it. Here is the picture before I added the rock and water.

Here is the picture of all the tanks. The 55gal display, 10gal refugium, and 20gal frag tank (on seperate system). THe sump is in the stand under the fuge and frag tanks.

Here is a picture of the frag tank. I just set up the MH this afternoon. I hope the excess light can support the refugium for a few days until I can get a small PC for it.

HIya!,
I will have to do that tomorrow when the lights are back on. The frag tank and refugium are still a work in progess.

Frag Tank. A work in prgress. I have had it for a while, but only messed with softies. I upgraded to a 400 watt MH and I am starting some monitpora frags and I have some rescue corals in there that will most likely not make it.
I plan to add a second level to it and place low lit softies on the bottom level and hard corals on the upper. However, space is limited in in a 20gal.

Here is the refugium. Not pretty. I need to get some PCs for it since I switched lighting on the frag, I can have the old light strips on there because it would block the light from the MH for the frag tank. I have some caluerpa in there scattered in the LR rubble. The pipe is from the overflow of the display tank. THe prefilter box sends it to the sump. Yup, it needs more plant life, bob.

I sure have. It only drains out about three inches off the top of the display tank. I turn the pumps off when I do a water change. It does fill up just to the top of the sump, though. Soon I will get a bigger sump and I hope it will have extra room for the just in case. I have a check valve to prevent back siphoning. By turning the pumps off for a water change, it lets me know if the check valve is working correctly. If I noticed it not doing its job, its time to change it out or come up with a better plan.
