Looks nice but 6 tangs in a 90 gallon is not a good idea, your tank is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy overstocked.

Looks pretty good, why is there a green tint to the tank? I would take out maybe a couple tangs and you are set to go.

I was afraid I was going overboard having that many tangs. I have always kind of strayed away from stocking/compatabilty recommedations in the past with FW tanks. I have a FW stocked with Baja Shark & many angels among others. This tank has been setup for over 6 years with happy-healthy fish. I'm fairly new to SW, and have not been using this board long. I take all the critisizm of my tank constructively, and thank you for opening my eyes to the problem. Sunday I will be off work, and will be taking out 2 Hippos and a Naso & trading in to my LFS. I've never had any problems with the fish. I do this for the long term well being of my fish. I've been reading alot lately in this board trying to make this decision. These were the 1st tank pics I've ever posted. After the very 1st reply to my pics, I was kind of put out. Then I realized oceana was trying to help with giving helpful advise---think long term and you will have long term success.
I think this board is reallly about helping each other out. I'm glad to be a part of it.
After getting out the fish it will leave a Blond Naso( beatiful fish starting to grow stremers on his tail), 1 hippo, & 1 yellow. Also 2 perc clowns, 1 black clown, small val. puffer, mand. goby, and 2 seahorses. Some of you may think this is still overstocked, but I'm going to see how it works.
It will be a chore getting them out removing all th LR. Will the LR be OK out if the tank until I can get the fish out??
This is my rookie mistake. I love this hobby. I guess I just could not resist buying the fish. They were all so small when I introduced them. I now see they get real big real fast.
I will post new pics Sunday night when I'm done if anyone would be interested in seeing them.
Thanks to all!!!

You have 2 seahorses with a puffer and all those other fish and they have not been eaten or died yet :notsure: Thought for sure that puffer would eat them

Fishermon-
Welcome to the hobby. Most of us made mistakes when we were first interested in keeping fish. Smart of you to use our mistakes to learn.
Great decision on your part to get rid off excess fish. Resisting the lure of buying new fish is one of the hardest things to do and why people end up with a house full of tanks. With your new improved stocking list, you will be able to enjoy your charges until their ripe old ages.
Except the Naso...you might want to rethink that. Adult size; 15 to 18 inches. What are the dimensions of your tank? Could he even turn around?
There is a great site on seahorses that you will want read. Your little fellows are at risk in this tank. Since you enjoy watching them so much I know you will do the right thing. Christmas is coming. Add a small seahorse tank to your list!

I'd hate to get rid of my blond naso he's awesome.
Can you send a link to the seahorse sight?
Also I will have to take out my LR to get these fish out. Is there anything special I need to do to the LR until I can get it back in the tank?
Thanks!

"He's awesome." So why do you want to torture it? Do you usually try and kill things of beauty? Good thing I'm not around! <snort>
