Tank Pictures

I have seen a number of pictures on everyones web sites and on this BB. I have a digital camera and would love to get some good shots of my tank, but the colors always look wierd, or the shutter is too slow so everything is blurred, or the flash obscures everything (or almost).
Anybody tell me how they are getting such great shots?
Thanks :)

Heres a few things I have learned thus far. Turn all the lights off in the room. When using a flash hold the camera at an angle to avoid having it bounce off the glass. Make sure the picture is in foucus and the color is correct on the LCD before you snap the shot. Some camers have special settings for bright light, dark, ect... Experiment with these modes to see which delivers the best color. You can also turn all the pumps in the tank off to creat stillness. HTH

Also holding the camera perfectly still is key.Even more so with digital. I usually rest my fingertips right on the glass to steady the shot.Plus having a GOOD camera helps probably more than anything else. You can't expect to get quality pictures from a cheap camera.Even with everthing going for you, expect one good picture out of every ten or more shots.
