So input guys? Hood is lifted. Should be enough oxygen right? Heat is 73 with lights on last 24 hours. (Room temp is 76) 17 inches of height. Would like more but I think barbs would be content. Still sticking with 2 female idea. So yep. What do you think.

You really need temp. between 78 to 82. Do you have any caves in the rock, hard to see, lol. As for oxygen just add a power head pointing to surface that way it bring new water to surface for oxygen exchange. Have you started the initial cycle yet?

Seahorses can not have the temp that high.. No caves didn't see a need for them. The sea horses will hide in macro. I will have an open airline for surface exchange. Cycle started 2days ago with ammonia. :) Thanks for the feedback!!

Thought you were doing fish, didn't even think seahorses, lol. You should talk with Flower she has horses and BTLDreef has them too. They would be great wealth of knowledge.

Any input is better than non so I thank you all the same! It seems to be super slow here regarding sea horses.

For a seahorse tank, the best temp is 74. Seahorses are prone to bacterial infections such as vibrio in warmer tanks.

I also like the rock wall....and 73 is a good temp, as long as you can keep it around that level!
Sorry, I think a lot of the "regulars" have been out of the loop lately. Don't know why, really....for my excuse I can say I've been focusing on my 110g build thread (it's here if you're interested!)
If you want to add pictures in your thread, select the picture button up above in the edit bar, then select the "image url" feature. You can paste your photobucket url into that window, hit OK, and the forum will do the rest for you.

Thanks everyone!
Im doing macro algae and fake plants as hitches. I need a really easy macro algae that can thrive under PC lights though. Any suggestions. Also one that isn't illegal to Ca lol.

What do you think about these??
Ulva
Red Gracilaria
Pencil Cap
Halimeda
Will have to dose calcium, but I don't mind.

Thanks! My husband likes the Ulva so I will try the rubber band thing and if it doesnt work oh well. Next thoughts.. I have been reading conflicting information regarding cycling with and without macro algae. What are your thoughts. Also can you hyposaline dip macro algae to get any pests off. I read FW dip will cause it to fall apart.

I will post a PM from beadlbob on cycling with macro. I would just dip the macros in regular saltwater and shake the nasties off.

Botryocladia...(lower right) Red grapes on a stalk looks awesome and my horses love it. The bright red looks awesome in the tank.
The Green is Caulerpa Prolifera (looks like turtle grass) the horses love it as well.

The Botryocladia is on the upper right in front of the in-tank refugium
and a few other places...I have lots of red Halymenia too.

Halymenia Floridana..looks like rose petals.
