i have a 72/30/18 inch space...what size tank would you recommend and how much should a tank that size cost me?

well a 180 gal is 72 x 24 x 24 high that would be a nice choice if u can squezze it well tank only approx 550.00 then there is another 2000.00 after that between LR Ls Lighting filters test kits etc, do u have a tank now? you might want to try a 75 gallon tank if this is your first set
