tank question

for the background of my new tank, should i spray paint the outside back black?

I is total personal preferance. The background will get covered with coraline so it doesn't matter in the long run. Personally I would go with the black / blue sided store bought backing. I find that the blue contrasts the fish better. But if your not happy with it you just flip it over.

I painted mine blue. I like it. Probably a little too much because I am always scraping coraline off of it. I don't like that look with all the coraline all over the glass for some reason.

i got the background from pets**** and i have the blue side on it right now i had black on my 90g and the fish did not stand out as well i dont think. i am with Ryancw 11 on the coraline i think it makes it look unclean with it on there.

I would go with the black/blue double sided roll. This way you can decide with seeing both

Huh? I do understand that coraline grows regardless. I was simply stating that I always scrape the coraline off of the glass on the back of the tank...personal preferance...
