Tank raised Powder Blue Tangs and ICH?

I've wanted to add a Powder Blue for some time but have refrained because of its suspectibilty to ich. A LFS has several tank raised PB's - very active, bright colors, etc - so my question, do tank raised PB's fair any better resisting ICH (and other related infections) vs reef-caught or are they just as prone to contract ICH/etc? Thanks.

I'm not sure about the ick, but since the powder blue's are tank raised they would have a lot less stress moving to your tank. The other pb's that are from the ocean go through a lot of stress, they get shipped around so much, they get stressed a lot and get disease. So I would get the powder blue tang if you know how to take care of it good, and I mean real good, these things aren't the hardiest of fish.So if you would get the pb's it would have a lot less stress than the other pb's from the ocean, and would be more disease resistant then the ones from the ocean.

I think the lfs is pulling your leg, I like Trey would love to know who raised them. Reguardless tank raised means just that, tank raised, they were still caught in the ocean.

That's why I posted the question, though relatively new to the hobby, this is the 1st I came across tank raised PB's. They did look excellent tho. The store is Something Fishy (figures :) ) in Minneapolis 612.861.6675 and the owners are Mike and Travis. From what I can gather the store has a good reputation in the Twin Cities area.
I'm going to pass on BP's until I'm sure I can do well by them.
