Tank Set Up

With my Tax return when ever it gets here I plan on setting up my 55 L. I already have two Maxi power heads and 40 poulds of L/S.
(1) Do I need all that much lighting or could I use my old hood light from FWF setup?
(2) Should I buy more L/S?
(3) What about L/R I figure no less than 55 pounds from what I've read so far.
(4) What about filtering do I need it now, or can I just sit and cycle,while I wait on more money for more equipment.

Well for your lighting you don't need any special lighting if your going to set up a fowlr tank. I would suggest 55#+ on the lr it will act as a filter and make your tank a lot healthier. As far as filtration equipment goes you should run a skimmer and maybe a fuge or a wet dry. It really depends on what kind of set up you want.
