Tank Sitting for 2 Years is it Safe?

I have a Question regarding my tank? I have a 90 gallon saltwater tank that has been sitting for about 2 years and i have no fish in there but i have live rock that looks still alive I turn the pump on and let it run a little about once a month. Is this dangerous and how can i begin to revive my tank? Thank you.

I would start with keeping the pumps running for a few days, then do a large water change and test the water for a few days after that.

Take the rock out, if it smells then there is die off and needs to cycle again.

the rock is going to have live bacteria on it I cant tell you how much will survive going from unheated back to heated. I would do a 100% water change then let it circulate for a several weeks with some fish food or shrimp to promote bacterial growth. basicly treat it like a brand new tank, or starting out with all fresh killed rock. ya know. cycle it and go cautiously.
