tank size for a lunar wrasse?

It says "A resilient fish that needs plenty of space." max 8in. but it doesn't define 'plenty of space.' I have a 55gl, but that seem way too small and wouldn't put one in there.
But I do like this fish, so I was wondering what a good tank size for it would be?
Thanks
(lfs still has not gotten the 6-line I want...they had two lunar's though)

I thought mine was cramped in a 100g so I did return him within a week. He's right they are constant movers, you'll get yourself motion sick trying to watch them. I guess as a min I would go with a 6ft tank (more important than actaul volume for these guys)
Good Luck

I have had one now for about 2.5 yrs now.It is in a 125(wouldnt put it in anything smaller)and got it when it was about 3in. and is now 6in.very very fast fish that loves to dart in and out of the lr. Like said above sometimes they hide for awhile. As for as hermits I had none so I dont know but does sound likely. It loves small pieces of krill.

I had one for a few weeks before I brought it back. They are cool becasue they find wholes in your LR that you did not know existed and swim fast through them. They eat like pigs and mine used to knock all of the hermits off the rock for fun. I took him back because they can get up to 10Inchs and I only had a 55g.
If your other fish are slow eaters don't get it.

We have one in our 200gal. They can be nasty fish. I sometimes catch him chasing some of the others around the tank. I agree they need lots of room to swim. Ours is out all the time though, very rarely does he hide. Very pretty fish with all the colors. I think if I had the choice again weather or not to get him, I would have chose a different breed of wrasse. In my opinion I don'[t think they would be very happy in anything less then a 100 gal. Thanks guys, that's one fish that will have to wait. Even if I have a 125+ tank I don't know if I'd like having one without inverts...
Thanks for the info, now I know.
