Tank Smell

I live in a smaller house, and it seems that my saltwater fish tank is making the house have a very mild smell. You can hardly smell it, but it kinda smells like the salt, and a faint scent of mildew. Has anyone else had this problem with their tank. I know it isnt the age of my house either, because it is brand new.
Anyone have any refreshing ideas?

Did anything died in the tank recently? That's the only time I ever had that smell was when something had died. How old is the tank? Live rock? :happyfish

what do you have for power heads ? is the water stagnant?

THe tank has been set up for 6 months. Nothing has really died. I just got new live rock, but the live rock smell is gone. This smell is kinda like Salt. IT's weird.

I have 3 powerheads in the tank, and I do 30% water changes so its not stagnant.

are the power heads facing up to break up the wate surface ? this if for gas exchange.

one is, and I have a 402 fluval and its output is on the surface

If you have a protein skimmer...they can release some lovely aromas

yeah i've never had a smell with my carbon filters either except when i have to breakdown and move my tanks.
