Tank Upgrade

Question for you pros...
I have the option of purchasing a complete tank with all equipment from a friend of mine for a really good price....125 w/all equipment for $500 (he is in tax trouble..AGAIN). My question is....is it safer to just keep my existing 55 as it is and start the 125 out fresh? Or is it fairly simple to transfer my 55 inhabitants to the 125?
The 55 has 3 fish, 12 scarlets, 10 blue-legs, 2 emeralds, 75# Fiji LR, 60# aragonite.

bummer for your friend, good for you. the only prob is that once you trick out the tank, is his jealousy. you'll need to set up the tank water quality as close as possible to what you are currently running to reduce the shock that the live stock will go though when moving and looking for a new cranny to hang out in. if ordering fresh live rock, it will need to be cured before you do the big transfer.

If at all possible,it would be best to keep the 55 going till your new system is all setup and cycled...55 to 125 is a big jump,so it's for sure that that 125 WILL need to cycle even if you use all the rock and sand from the 55...
