Tank vacuuming

Hi, I have a 75 gal tank and have recently added marine sand over the existing dolimite. It is time for a water exchange. If I vacum, is the sand going to end up under the dolimite? Should the sand be on the bottom? I kinda like the way it looks with the sand on top.

You don't vacuum the sandbed at all. I have never once vacuumed my DSB and don't plan on it. The only marine substrate I have ever vacuumed was crushed coral. Hope you get this before you do the water change.

thanks Demosthenes, I was waiting for an answer. I will not disturb the sand bed.
