tank volume

Is there a formula to figure out tank volume is there a formula to figure out how many gallons a tank will hold???? Just to give an example to make sure everyone knows what im talking about 72x18x22 = 125 gallon tank

I believe it is basically LXWXH divided by 231.
So 72X18X22 = 28512
28512 divided by 231 = 123.4g

The formula you want is: LxWxH, then multipy the answer by 0.00433 to get the amount in gallons. Hope this helps.
