Tearing down my tank

I have a 29 gallon that I want to tear down but I don't really know the right way of doing it. I actually want to down grade and go back to my 8 gallon, for some reason I enjoyed the 8 so much more. Anyway, what do you all think I should do with the sand? I don't really want to keep it, so should I just throw it away? And I can't fit all the rock in my 8g so do I just throw outside or what? what are your all's suggestions? thanks

bring the rock to your LFS most stores will give you a credit

the rock I want to get rid of is texas bone rock so I don't think they would take it.

Try listing it on CL?
If it was worth something to you, maybe it will be worth something to someone else!
