Teddy Bear Crab

Tiny furry crab that can carry Anemones in its claws.
thoses this mean that they are dangerous for the anemones... because i have 8 of them and when i bought some live rocks from someone... last week.. i just noticed lastnight that a teddybear crab was in a hole hiding and the hole is covered of a grean mush its big mush too about 2by2 inches.... so i only saw him lastnight....
will he kill me anemones once he gets out!!!

he doesnt kill anemones, he carries them on his claws. usually if you have a hitchhiker crab its not a teddy bear crab, so while it may not kill anemones it may kill your fish if you have anything that is small enough for it to grab while the fish sleeps.

oh shoot... well as of now its in my 125g and all i have for now is a humuhumu trigger... but the crab is allways hiding in the hole and he never goes out, the mush is also covering the entire hole...
it really looks like a teddy bear crab, its the only thing close to the crabs in the the saltwaterfish.com crab descriptions... looks like a crab and is lightbrown and has alot of furryhair all over it...

most hitchhikers are hairy, either way though you should be fine as long as hes not big enough to snack on your trigger,, eventually your trigger will find him and eat him (ive had about 6 hitchhikers come in on LR from my LFS and are gone in a week or 2

) works well for a free snack for the triggers

lol, actually what IS a hitchhicker and what i think is a crab is actually big.. its atleast 2.5 inches wide and 2 inches long.. so i really dont think the trigger will try and eat em, lol... crab is bigger then him...
ill try and get some pics when he gets out... or near the hole

why or why don't people read. Makes me wonder. Did you ever research new additions for your tank? I suggest you do. It will help you not make silly mistakes like 90% of us did getting into the hobby.
The trigger will eat the crab. Sadly...Please research and I promise you, you will have a better time keeping fish!

well, if the trigger doesnt eat the crab,,, and the crab is bigger; he may just snack on your trigger. Consider the fact that triggers lock themselves in at night, that crab could easily sneak up on him and grab him out and tear of a piece and NUMMY NUMMY bye bye Humma.
