Teeny tiny brittle star?

Folks today is tank cleaning day and I found what appears to be a teeny little brittle star, dark body with white legs. This is also the same tank that I have been loosing zoos and yellow polyps on a regular basis. Could I have found what is eating my coral or is it safe to put the little fella back in my tank? Sorry no pic yet, maybe when I get done with my tanks.

It sounds like you may have a micro-star. They only get the size of a quarter and from what I understand are reef safe. But, if you don't want him, you can always send him to me. I want some for my tank and can't find a place to purchase them.

does it look like a baby serpent star? most are all white with a tannish to white color disk in the center. if thats what it is safe for a reef tank i have a slew of them in my tank there great little scavengers! usually only see them crawl out of the rocks when i turn the pumps off to feed my corals.
