TEK light VS. Aqualife light

Iam currently looking into light upgrades. These are the two im looking at, both are pricey, both have individual good reflectors, both have internal ballasts i believe. However the aquaticlife has a digital controller built in. However the tek light comes in the exact measurement i want which is 30". Tha aquaticlife fixture comes with legs that are adjustable so i dont think its a problem. I have to get the bulbs for both as there not included of course, and my current system is 24" and im going to be buying new bulbs.....I just dont know. If any1 wants to talk me into one or the other, im all ears!!!!

get the TEK. better quality fixture, better reflectors. the aquatic life digital controller is neat and all but it doesnt justify the overall quality between the two. sunlight supply's TEK will be much better IMO. i've toyed with both and the aquatic life's reflectors dont penetrate as far down as a TEK for PAR

k good to know thats wat i thought....i like good quality and the mag says the reflector increases the light by 300%. I was like, " all this for that much$ or the tek which is nothing for that much$$". O all this $$$. So should i get the bracket fixture ? The 24" fixture with the bracket wont fit my 30" tank im thinkin though....i want the tek....wonder how easy the hangin bracket is to setup???and if my mom would allow it lol

the hanging bracket is extremely easy, and youll enjoy the much cleaner look and being able to put ur hands in the tank without moving the light fixture

o very nice thank u nike! Im gonna attach mine to my tank stand though im thinkin. Im sure i will be back with Qs about the hiegth setting above the tank when i get it in the near future! Thx again
