Tell me whats wrong (Green Star Polyp)

This star polyp hasn't opened since Sunday. I think it was after it got too much light, being that I forgot to put the timer back on auto. I think it got over 24 hours of light. I think it would have opened by now, right? Terrible pics but gives you an idea.

Really? How long? My guy at the LFS suggested to move it because it may not like the spot. I really can't with out using some force because its attached to the rock I put it on. How long should I give it? Also thanks for the reply.

I really dont think these things can get to much light.. they freaken LOVE bright light from what i have seen.

yeah i think light is good...maybe its just getting used to the change in lighting...the only time i lost star polyps was when the rubble they were on fell behind a rock in teh corner of my tank and i couldn't get it up...it was dark down there...and even then they made it for a while...

some of mine have closed up for about4 or 5 days, and then slowly come back to fully open. It is hard to say about yours, they should be fine if the only thing they exp. was an extended photoperiod. If the purple skin looks like it is changing color(pale) or coming off the rock in small chuncks, it's probably a gonner, If it continues to stay very purple it should be ok.

I can sit rocks on top of mine and it want kill them.. the poylps go away and the mat remains and just starts growing over the rock.. they are crazy like that.

Yeah I really don't know what is going on, its weird. It always looked so healthy. The levels are good so I don't know what could have happened other than that lighting mistake.
