temp and bubble and LR question

My temp is to high. 82-84. I am getting a chiller, should i wait before adding a CUC until i can keep temp at 80 with chiller?
Also I am starting to see diatoms but on some of my LR i have little bubbles that are about the size of a pinhead or smaller. What are these?
Cant get a pic b/c of there size but it looks like a little bubble and there is probally 50 in tank now. Are they part of the diatom bloom?
Last question. I wana relandscape my LR. Can i just take it out tank and sat it on a towel for about 5 minutes without causing a new cycle to start when i put it back in or do i need to mix some H20 to put it in for that short time period? Once i do take it out will it hurt to rinse the debris off with tap water before putting back in tank?
Forgive my ignorance, just never done his before.

Before you spend the money on a chiller, have you tried putting a fan so it blows across he surface of the water?
If the LR's only going to be out for 5 mins or so then just put it on a towel. You don't want to rinse it with tap water though because, for one it's fresh water and would kill the bacteria on the LR, and two it's tap water that you don't want in the tank.

Is it just bubbles or is it like an algae? It sounds like its just air bubbles that have stuck to the rock, you could probably just rub them off.

It only brings it down to 80. Thats normally ok but it's not summer here yet. Im in South Ga. In summer it would prob. clime to 87 or so b/c i dont run AC until about a hour before i get home at 4 pm
Chillers better for me b/c ease of mind. Dang a noisy fan, Thanks for your reply and reccomendation. Just that a chiller can be bought for 150 bucks and to me its worth not having the hassle.
PS thats a used chiller price

Looks like very small patches of brown stuff. About half the size of a pencil eraser and each one has a bubble or two on it??????/ Patches are " fuzzy" looking. Like small hairy things i'd say
