They have really small heaters available at ***** or walmart that should do fine. I don;t know though cuz I don't use one, but my room temp stays 77-82

LOL, I wouldn't recommend it for larger tanks, but a tank this size will be room temp or a degree lower almost 100% of the time. Plus the best place to put a heater is in the filter, which sends my evap rate through the roof when I take the top off.

So far i havent had a problem with evap, but that will probably change now that the temps up. still not a problem i just tap it up every night. right now im using aquafina to tap it up, is this alright or should i still us RO/DI water?

I have a 2.5 gallon FW tank at work on my desk. I bought one of those mini-heaters from Wallyworld. It works fine so far, I am not in control of the air conditioner..lol

Aquafina bottled water has a TDS of 30. BUT not all bottled water is the same, Fiji water (the most expensive of the bottled waters) has a TDS of 210 and has very high silicates. My tap has a TDS of 60. My RO/DI has a TDS of 0.
As you can see, RO/DI is your safest choice.
